About Shakuntala Creative Art
Whether you wish to inspire an appreciation of the arts in your child, foster his or her budding creativity, or enjoy a creativity session yourself, creative art with Shakuntala offers a fun and relaxed way to begin or continue a pathway of artistic expression. Creative art isn't just about the chance to nurture and coax the artist within. Creativity also enhances problem-solving skills, fine-motor skills and an appreciation of aesthetics and design.
Creative Art Gift Baskets
Inspired to expand the joy and creativity of her private art classes with a wider audience Shakuntala, a favorite teacher to the children of hip L.A. moms has transformed some of her most popular projects into Children’s Art Gift Baskets. With a Creative Art Gift Basket you will have everything you need to create a private art class at home. Now children and adults will enjoy the chance to marvel at hidden talents and express their creativity! The gift baskets come in a range of sizes and can be customized to fit any theme or occasion. A variety of materials may be used, such as clay, mixed media and mosaic. Projects range from painting on canvass, to creating spring flowers in a clay vase or using Recycled Styrofoam to build castles and much, much, more! A Perfect gift for any occasion, whether celebrating a birthday, holiday or just need a rainy day activity. At the end of each course you and your child will have a beautiful piece of artwork to be proud of!
Personal Philosophy
Shakuntala's personal philosophy on mentoring children in art and creativity is a holistic and encompassing one. The classes are balanced between structure and flair, skill and concept, process and product. Students will be exposed to a variety of media and techniques, including drawing, painting, mixed media and clay. Art appreciation and art history are woven into the projects in a fun and educative way. The emphasis at each stage of creation is on enjoying the lesson. Art is about release from the everyday, expressing the soul, and having fun!
